A Ground Source Heat Pump is a renewable heating system that extracts low-temperature solar energy stored in the ground using buried pipework and compress this energy into a higher temperature. AGSHP provides a building with 100% of its heating and hot water all year round.
Due to the stable ground temperature, GSHP can extract heat even in cold climates
resulting in a high coefficient of performance and lower energy bills.
GSHPs are most effective for customers with electric heating, LPG or cowl based heating systems.
As they primarily use renewable energy from the ground, they produce significantly less carbon emissions than Gas or Oil boilers.
Replacing an Oil boiler with GSHP can be a good option for reducing energy bills, better for environment and no need to re-order oil each time it ran out.
Ground SHPs are built to last. Pipes used to extract heat from the ground are buried underground, protecting them from damage caused by weather or other external factors.
And, because the system doesn’t rely on fossil fuels, there are fewer moving parts that can break down.
There are Grants of up to £7500 in England and Wales for customers wanting energy efficiency improvements and/or zero emission heating system.
We take care of everything from Your Grant claim to installation.
Ground Source Heat Pumps in the UK are subject to a zero rate of VAT, along with other energy-saving materials, from February 1, 2024 to March 31, 2027.
If you are searching for a way to economize on energy expenses and prioritize eco-
friendliness, the air source heat pump system may be the upgrade your household
needs.
Heat pumps can offer substantial savings alongside reliable, eco – friendly warmth
for Your home.
Heat pumps convert energy stored in the air into heating energy. They can also be
combined with a domestic hot water system to give You a constant supply of hot
water.
The energy we use, taken from the air, will always be available to us, giving us a
limitless energy supply
ASH Pumps use less electricity so you will save on energy bills. Require a little
maintenance, You only need a professional to check them every 3-4 Years
They’re safer than other systems because they don’t need fuel, so they have fewer
safety risks
ASH Pumps don’t use much power – they get their power from the air’s temperature
outside. This can cut Your electricity use and carbon footprint a lot.
ASH Pumps provide a remarkable boost in energy efficiency especially in cold
weather
Heat Pump is located outside the property, with little space required
Heat Pump can be up to 500% efficient, compared to boilers which are 90%.
There are Grants of up to £7500 in England and Wales for customers wanting
energy efficiency improvements and/or zero emission heating system
We take care of everything from Your Grant claim to installation
Zero VAT is now available for Heat Pumps supply, services and installation from 1
April 2022 for five years.
A hybrid Air Source Heat pump is a system, that use both an air source heat pump and a gas / oil Boiler to provide heating or hot water.
An Air Source Heat Pump can be added to an existing Boiler to create a Hybrid system and reduce your use of fossil fuels.
A Hybrid system can be a good option if your home has high heat loss or you can’t install upgraded heat emitters.
In such situations can be more suitable to pair an air source heat pump ( ASHP ) with another system such as a Gas or Oil boiler, so creating a Hybrid Heat pump (HHP) system where either one could be used depending on the requirements at the time.
A Hybrid Air Source Heat Pump system consists of two separate units; an air source heat pump and a gas (oil) boiler, both of which combined are used to heat home, and provide hot water if required and with the right setup.
An ASHP works by transferring heat energy from outside air into a home, while a boiler uses the combustion of fuels (gas, oil or propane) to produce heat.
It should be noted that a Gas Boiler and a Heat Pump never work simultaneously at the same power. The boiler is generally responsible for supporting the heating, or the two systems operate alternately. Therefore, this is a measure that optimizes not only heating efficiency, but also costs.
Hybrid Air Source Heat Pump system will reduce carbon emissions, energy costs, this system is also a back up heating in the event of a component failure. I either the heat pump or the boiler fails, heat is still available from the opposing component until a repair is carried out.
Hybrid heat pumps are suitable for most houses where replacing pipework or significantly increasing radiator sizes is not an option or is within budget.
We will assess Your home’s heating needs and recommend the best solution for You. We will replace outdated parts and configure the system for optimal performance.
