GROUND SOURCE HEAT PUMP

A Ground Source Heat Pump is a renewable heating system that extracts low-temperature solar energy stored in the ground using buried pipework and compress this energy into a higher temperature. AGSHP provides a building with 100% of its heating and hot water all year round.


Due to the stable ground temperature, GSHP can extract heat even in cold climates
resulting in a high coefficient of performance and lower energy bills.


GSHPs are most effective for customers with electric heating, LPG or cowl based heating systems.


As they primarily use renewable energy from the ground, they produce significantly less carbon emissions than Gas or Oil boilers.


Replacing an Oil boiler with GSHP can be a good option for reducing energy bills, better for environment and no need to re-order oil each time it ran out.


Ground SHPs are built to last. Pipes used to extract heat from the ground are buried underground, protecting them from damage caused by weather or other external factors.

Hybrid Air Source Heat Pumps

A hybrid Air Source Heat pump is a system, that use both an air source heat pump and a gas / oil Boiler to provide heating or hot water.

An Air Source Heat Pump can be added to an existing Boiler to create a Hybrid system and reduce your use of fossil fuels.

A Hybrid Air Source Heat Pump system consists of two separate units; an air source heat pump and a gas (oil) boiler, both of which combined are used to heat home, and provide hot water if required and with the right setup.

An ASHP works by transferring heat energy from outside air into a home, while a boiler uses the combustion of fuels (gas, oil or propane) to produce heat.

It should be noted that a Gas Boiler and a Heat Pump never work simultaneously at the same power. The boiler is generally responsible for supporting the heating, or the two systems operate alternately. Therefore, this is a measure that optimizes not only heating efficiency, but also costs.
